KHO KHO GAME

We continue with the project about India playing who who game.

Kho kho is a traditional Indian sport that dates back to ancient India. It is very popular and the students enjoyed a lot playing this game.

TOTE BAGS- PROJECT.

 TOTE BAGS AND PENCIL CASES: PRINTED AND MADE BY STUDENTS.

It was a task related to the creative ´ project where the students made cloth bags and pencil cases through the ecoprint botanical printing tecnique.

First, the students brought flowers and cloths to the school. 

Secondly, they printed flowers on the cloth with the help of a hammer.

Thirdly, they cut the cloth into pieces with the help of a model.

After this, the students sewed the bag with a sewing machine. There were mums and grandmas who helped the students with this task.

WHAT MONSTER?

The students went to the theater to see a play about a monster. It was an interactive activity where some students participated as actors and they could express in English. The play was very funny and all the stucents enjoyed a lot.

EASTER 2023

 EASTER.

 APELÓN ASSOCIATION collaborated with a funny Easter game. It was a gimkhana and the students had to find the hidden clues. The winners´ prize was a huge Easter egg. They enjoyed a lot.

CARNIVAL IN INDIA.

We continue with the activities related to Indian´s project.

The students learnt about Indian Carnival. The conversation auxiliar gave students information about the Carnival festival in the Indian state of Goa ( parades, musicians, dancers, acrobats, costumes and masks). Then, the students made Ganesha masks in mixed groups and the conversation auxiliar helped them with it. The students were really excited about this new cultural activity related to Ganesha ( Ganesha is a God with a human body and an elephant head).

PEACE DAY.

This year we have a conversation auxiliar from India. So we started an Indian´s project in January to celebrate Peace Day.

Here, there are the following activities we did:

The conversation auxiliar did a power point about Ghandi and then the students tried to draw Ghandhi by following some instructions in a tutorial video. Finally, they prepared a short Ghandi´s biography on the radio and sang Imagine song by John Lennon.

The students wrote a letter to Father Christmas and then, they coloured a big Christmas tree together.

A storyteller came to tell the story:" How the Grinch stole Christmas"

A storyteller told the students "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", a book by Dr Seuss.
