TEXAS.

 TEXAS CRAFTS.

The conversation auxiliar, we have this year, is from Texas. She did a power-point and she explained all about Texas. The culture of Texas is considered one of the major cultures influencing the greater American culture.

The students learned that Rodeo is the official sport of Texas. They learned about cowboy culture and Texas symbols.

They sang a song:

"Deep in the heart of Texas". It is an American popular song about Texas.

Power-point about Texas Symbols.

They colored a cowboy with the typical hat and band.

They decorated cowboy boots with many different things. The students were very creative. They did a great job.

Texas flag.
The students had pieces of construction paper and glue them in the correct spot. They also used cotton.
Each color of Texas flag has special meaning. The white represents purity, the blue stands for thevirtue of loyalty and the red symbolizes bravery.

Bluebonnets.
The students created some delightful fingerprint bluebonnets. Painting with fingers allows for greater control than a brush.
The bluebonnet was designated the state flower of Texas in 1901. Bluebonnets grow across Texas.

This Texas Mini Book was perfect for our students to review what they have learned about Texas.

HEARTS

 The students did fingerprint hearts.
