PEACE DAY 2020


PEACE DAY 2020

"PEACE BEGINS WITH TOLERANCE AND RESPECT FOR EVERYONE"

We celebrated Peace Day by doing the following activities from the first grade to sixth grade.


  • A mural with a salt dove and peace words.
  • A mural with peace hands.
  • The students put handprints on a buddy bench.
  • Paper dolls.
  • A peace symbol with leaves.
  • Doves.
  • Ballooms with peace words.
  • The students learned the song "Heal the World" by Michael Jackson.

                                   WISHING YOU A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

 People in America get toguether with family and exchange gifts on Christmas morning. Some cookies and milk are left for Santa Claus. People decorate their homes with lights, they put up a Christmas tree and they like to decorate the outsides of their houses with lights.

The students did the following activites:

  • A Christmas tree.
  • They coloured Christmas pictures.
  • A storyteller came to school to tell the story "Winnie in Winter".
  • They learned how American people celebrate Christmas.
  • They learned Christmas Carols.

THANKSGIVING 2019

Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November in United States. It is a very important day. 
Thanksgiving dinner includes turkeys, mashed potatoes, yams, cramberry,pumkin pie, apple pie....
Parades and football game are some of the events enjoyed on the day.
Families watch the Macy´s Parade on TV since 1948 where they can watch giant balloons, marching bands walking through the streets of New York.


All the Primary students from first grade to sixth grade made Thanksgiving crafts with their teachers. We did all the activities together. The activities are the following ones:

  • A turkey mural with fantastic and colourful feathers.
  • A pumpkin pie using cards and coloured papers.
  • A corn.
  • A thankful tree where the students wrote about the things are thankful for.
